This Brutal House
This Brutal House takes us into the New York vogue ball community. The story focuses on the Mothers, queer men who opened their hearts and homes to lost children, and their silent protest staged outside New York City Hall. Told with artistry and passion, the novel asks what happens when a generation remembered for a single lavish decade has been forced to grow up, and what it means to be a parent in a confused and complex society.
